The Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence (PACE) is a world-class research, education, clinical practice and industry precinct on a 1.7ha site at the centre of Australia’s rapidly growing biotechnology heart in Brisbane, Queensland.
PACE comprises state-of-the-art scientific, teaching and business infrastructure within an innovative collaborative zone, linking academia, science and industry, government and community, research and clinical practice.
Over the next five years, the precinct in which PACE sits will grow to house more than 2000 researchers, clinicians, and pharmacy sector businesses, thus establishing research and commercialisation collaborations never before possible across pharmaceutical science and pharmacology, biotechnology and the life sciences, including nutraceuticals.
PACE will encompass every activity within the development pipeline, from discovery to
product development, testing and trialling, to
commercialisation and marketing.

PACE co-locates some of the brightest and most successful researchers in the country through The University of Queensland School of Pharmacy; the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PA); the Diamantina Institute, led by 2006 Australian of the Year Prof Ian Frazer; the Translational Research Institute (TRI) and BioPharmaceuticals Australia (BPA).
